Born GY in the dark ages; remember early life 'ower the Marsh' , last GY school Nunsthorpe. Trawling Iceland from 1944, served in Royal Navy and Royal Australan Navy, settled in Western Australia 1956. Supposedly retired after 30 years as a staff journalist with the Australian Broadcasting Commission -- later corporation, but became a researcher and author (published) in fields of maritime, local and Aboriginal history. Live on the bank of the Lower Kalgan River with Beloved and Dog, swapping emails with brother and sister in law in GY, suffering bouts of nostalgia . Would welcome a hello from anyone who remembers.
